Are you an aspiring songwriter looking for hints? Or would you like to perform your own work whether it is prose or poem or song? And have you got a ticket to Loopallu – 25/26 September?

Then look no further than Ullapool Book Festival’s Literally Literary tent at Loopallu.

On the Saturday at 12.10pm until 1.40pm there will be a song writing workshop led by singer/songwriter Willie Campbell (Astrid, Open Day Rotation) from Lewis and his friend, collaborator and fellow Lewisman, writer Kevin MacNeil.  Numbers will be limited for this workshop so book a place now by emailing by noon on Friday 24th. Any spare places will be advertised at our tent later on Friday; you can put you name down at any time until 10pm. After that we’ll be in the main tent watching The Damned!

And, again on Saturday, there will be a half hour open mic session where you are invited to perform your own work, whether prose, poem or song. As it is only a short session there is a time limit of 5 minutes. Just turn up at 1.50pm.

Or maybe you just want to see great writers/performers. If so, see our programme, available at Loopallu, for who we have on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening.

Always one of the most fun and friendly festivals, Loopallu punches above it's weight

They’re selling the family silver – even granny is at risk of being put up for auction as fans try and outbid each other for tickets for Loopallu.
